Can I use my portable external hard drive to run Itunes? - simpletech portable hard drive
I have a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 SimpleTech 250GB Portable External Hard Drive. I want to connect iTunes and all my songs on it and leave it on my laptop. Is this a good idea? It is bus powered.

but I recommend installing tunes to your laptop
put songs on an external hard drive
